The 2015 Sarget de Gruaud-Larose is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. It has a modest nose, rather tight and a little distant at the moment, with dusky black fruit, rather introverted in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannin, moderate depth but requiring more breeding to come...
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 L'Esprit de Chevalier offers up exuberant black cherries, blackberry and warm plums scents with touches of baking spices and tobacco.
